Hi, I'm Sara, a hair color and cutting specialist, based in Denver, Colorado.

I have over 10 years in the beauty industry, and have had the privilege of working on set for fashion shows and photo shoots, as well as taking advanced education courses and certificates with leading haircare brand, Kevin Murphy. My greatest achievement yet has been opening my private studio, Sara Zask Hair Studio.

My focus behind the chair is connecting with each guest, and finding a custom look based on every person's individual style. I am a very communicative and collaborative stylist, and love creating my guests wildest hair dreams, mixed with realistic maintenance for each person's lifestyle.

A priority in my life, both in and out of work, has always been environmental and social responsibility. I work exclusively with sustainable, natural, cruelty and ammonia free color brands, and have a partnership with Green Circle Salons. By becoming a Green Circle Salon, I recycle 95% of all salon waste such as aluminum foils, aerosol cans, excess hair color, and hair clippings. I grew up in Southern California, raised by two incredible artists. I bring that creative nature, love for color, and desire to stand out to each appointment and every part of my life. I moved to Colorado in 2013, and absolutely fell in love with our beautiful mountains and community here in Denver. I live in the middle of the city with my loving boyfriend, and our sweet 20-pound kitty, Periwinkle.

Outside of doing hair, I am definitely a “get outside” type. I spend my time hiking mountains, bike-packing through the wilderness, kayaking in the Pacific Ocean, road-tripping the southwest and traveling the world- exploring and immersing myself in ancient history around the globe. When I'm not out exploring, I'm a major bookworm. Exchanging thoughts and book recommendations in the salon is one of my favorite things. Last but not least, I am an avid music lover and have spent most of my life supporting the local music scene in any city I've lived. An invite to a backyard or basement show, or any local venue makes my soul happy!
